1. Introduction
Welcome to London Driving Education. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website (https://www.londondrivingeducation.co.uk/) and the driving lesson services we provide. By booking a service with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Driving Lessons
Eligibility: To take driving lessons, you must hold a current, valid UK provisional driving licence and present it to your instructor on your first lesson. You must be legally entitled to drive in the UK.
Fitness to Drive: You must ensure you are medically fit to drive. If you are feeling unwell or are taking medication that may affect your ability to drive, you must inform your instructor. We reserve the right to cancel a lesson if we believe you are unfit to drive due to alcohol, drugs, or any other condition, in which case the full lesson fee will be charged.
Eyesight: You must be able to read a standard UK number plate from a distance of 20.5 metres (67 feet). Your first lesson will involve an eyesight check.
3. Bookings and Payments
Booking: Lessons can be booked directly with your instructor or through our main contact channels. All bookings are subject to instructor availability.
Payment: All driving lessons, including block bookings, must be paid for in advance of the lesson start time, unless a separate agreement is made with your instructor.
Pricing: Lesson prices are as advertised on our website but are subject to change. Block booking discounts are only valid if the full block is paid for in advance.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
Your Cancellation: You must provide a minimum of 48 hours' notice to your instructor to cancel or reschedule a lesson. If you fail to provide the required notice, you will be charged the full fee for the lesson.
Our Cancellation: If we need to cancel a lesson due to instructor illness, vehicle breakdown, or other unforeseen circumstances, we will provide you with as much notice as possible and will reschedule your lesson for the earliest mutually convenient time.
Punctuality: Your instructor will wait for you for a maximum of 15 minutes after the scheduled start time. If you do not arrive within this time, the lesson will be considered cancelled by you, and the full fee will be payable.
5. Use of Vehicle
Driving Test: We reserve the right to withhold the use of our driving school vehicle for a driving test if, in the instructor's professional opinion, you have not reached a safe and competent standard of driving.
Insurance: The tuition vehicle is fully insured for the purpose of driving lessons and the practical driving test.
Damage: You will be held responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle as a result of reckless or negligent driving.
6. Limitation of Liability
London Driving Education and its instructors shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from or in connection with the driving lessons, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. This website is provided "as is," and we make no express or implied representations or warranties related to it.
7. Website Use
All content on this website, including text, graphics, and logos, is the property of London Driving Education and is protected by copyright laws. Unauthorised use is prohibited.
8. Data Protection
We will handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We will use your data for the purposes of providing our services to you and for administrative purposes.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes relating to these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
